In the overall scheme of things, manhole and lift station rehabilitation is a relatively new niche in the trenchless rehabilitation marketplace. Most technology providers indicate that, until the last decade, manholes and lift stations everywhere were largely ignored while the repair and replacement of pipelines took center stage.
In
the recent years manhole and lift station rehabilitation has been
acknowledged as an equal to pipe rehabilitation in terms of
importance to maintaining a city’s infrastructure. Cities
are increasingly turning to manhole and lift station rehabilitation
to compliment line and lateral rehabilitation in eliminating I&I
and preventing premature failure due to corrosion. And, with
today’s new manhole and lift station technologies, more permanent
and cost-effective solutions are now available to service this much
needed trenchless work.
It’s because of these changing times and thought processes that Dallas 1 decided to team with Raven Lining Systems, one of the world’s premier epoxy manufacturer’s, to create a water/wastewater coating team.
This crew will be traveling to the surrounding cities and counties applying Raven’s specialized coatings in various different environments.
Hopefully the research and hard work will pay off in the near future to help establish this division as a profitable backbone to our ever diversifying company.
